## Full job description

Dane Street is excited to announce an opportunity for a Dual Occupational Medicine and Pain Management Physician Advisor to join our growing team! This role allows for a flexible telework arrangement where you can provide crucial peer review services while fitting your schedule.

As a Physician Advisor, you will utilize your dual expertise to review cases and provide insights on disability claims, ensuring that each case is handled with the utmost professionalism and adherence to clinical guidelines. You will work as an independent contractor (1099), and your compensation will be based on a per-case basis.

Your responsibilities will include providing second opinions on disability claims, addressing complex medical scenarios, and using evidence-based guidelines and clinical resources to make informed determinations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in both Occupational Medicine and Pain Management with a strong understanding of the nuances involved in disability evaluations. Preferred, but not required, is familiarity with the California Independent Medical Review (IMR) process.

Highlights:

- Flexible scheduling that allows you to work from anywhere.
- Consistent volume and good reimbursement rates.
- No required phone calls; all communication can be conducted through secure electronic means.

Join us in making a difference in the lives of injured workers and helping navigate the complexities of disability claims!

**Requirements**

- Current, unrestricted Medical License in your practice state
- Board Certification in both Occupational Medicine and Pain Management
- Experience in disability evaluations and peer review preferred

**Benefits**

- Independent consultant role allows for schedule flexibility and predictable work hours. You choose services and case types, dictate volume, and conduct this work based on your scheduled availability
- No doctor/patient relationship is established and no treatment is provided. These are advisory-only opinions
- Typical TAT is 7 business days depending on the level of review. Dane Street keeps you apprised of required turn-around time and carefully coordinates all administrative tasks so your time is spent on clinical decision-making
- Dane Street offers a streamlined case flow and a user-friendly work portal. We facilitate all communication, organize and sort all medical records, support all administrative processes, prep cases extensively, and ensure the quality and timely delivery of all determinations/reports
- Dane Street offers initial training as well as an ongoing point of contact should you have any questions about completing reviews
