We are an established dental practice in Sunnyvale looking for an experienced, organized, and dependable Dental Office Manager / Insurance & Billing Coordinator to join our team.
We are especially looking for someone who is very strong with dental insurance, billing, patient copay calculations, accounts receivable, and collections.
Key Responsibilities
Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
Accurately calculate patient copays and estimated out-of-pocket costs
Understand PPO fee schedules, deductibles, annual maximums, frequencies, and insurance limitations
Prepare accurate treatment estimates and explain financial responsibility to patients
Submit dental insurance claims with appropriate documentation
Follow up on unpaid, delayed, and denied insurance claims
Review insurance aging reports and outstanding A/R
Follow up on outstanding patient balances and collections
Post insurance payments and EOBs accurately
Handle insurance adjustments and write-offs correctly
Submit secondary insurance claims when applicable
Assist with treatment coordination and scheduling
Help maintain an efficient and organized front office
Qualifications
Previous dental front-office, dental billing, or dental office management experience required
Strong knowledge of PPO dental insurance and dental terminology
Excellent understanding of dental billing and collections
Ability to accurately calculate patient portions before treatment
Experience with Dentrix preferred
Comfortable communicating treatment costs and financial arrangements with patients
Organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to follow through
Strong communication and customer-service skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate doesn’t simply submit claims, they take ownership of the account until payment is received.
You should be comfortable reviewing an insurance breakdown and treatment plan and determining the expected insurance payment, contractual adjustment, deductible, and correct patient portion.
We are looking for someone interested in becoming an important, long-term member of our practice.
Compensation: Competitive and based on dental billing/management experience.
